Graphic Design
Graphic Design forces something from us. It puts us on the spot, and forces creativity. Creativity is never static. It is the process of always changing, reshaping, evolving. It is alive and dynamic. And so it is with Graphic Design.
Like the many unique faces of the human being, no two graphics (unless replicated) are alike. And no two websites are alike. That is what is so fascinating. That is why this process is exciting. Like an engine, it doesn't stop until it reaches it's goal. Amazing is the process of always wanting to improve and perfect!

Site Production
This is the phase where everything is put together. It follows on from the phase of graphic design, which follows on from strategy and conceptualization.
In production, the graphics are made dynamic, pages are built, links are established, content is imported, and enhancements are woven in. In production, the working engine of the website is built.
Content Development
Content development for a website often requires research, writing, and editing from an outside source. But it also may not. Often clients will provide their own content, and only need a little help making it ready for the web.
At Elytra Design we can help with on both fronts. We can use your existing documentation and rework it for web language, or start from scratch.
Either way, we will make sure that what goes on your website is the optimal content.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
In addition to using standard HTML to author site development, Elytra design will frequently use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to provide consistent formatting throughout the site.
Cascading Style Sheets are a method of controlling the formatting and visual aspects of a web document without compromising its structure. Such attributes as fonts, colors, leading, margins and typefaces are common styles used in style sheets.
Hosting your Website
Once your site is fully developed and ready to launch, Elytra Design can take care of all of your hosting needs with additional features and back end functionality.
Maintenance of your Website
Once your site is built and up and running, chances are very likely that it will need maintenance. Like everything, change is constant, and so ideally, websites should reflect that.
At Elytra Design, we offer everything from website consultation, design and development to hosting and maintenance. If we build your site, we want to maintain it. This means we want to maintain our relationship with you, and continue to grow and maintain your website to continue to reflect your growth.
On-site Training
At Elytra, we love the process of design and to develop, which cannot be separated from our active engagement with our clients. It's one process. As we enter into the process of discovery with our clients we find some clients want to take more control of the website after it's launched. And we fully support and encourage this. To this end, we hold training workshops in content management for our clients, to bring them to the place of full independence in maintaining and upgrading their site.

Search Engine Optimization and Keyword Development
Once your site is built and ready for the world to find, you want to be discovered. You want to be found. You want traffic. Traffic does not happen by itself. It requires marketing. A site will achieve maximum success only if a targeted marketing campaign completes site development. Ideally, web site marketing begins early on in the development process, at the conception stages of the website. It starts at the beginning, not at the end, so that proper search engine language is built in.
